Description
Finally was able to make and photograph something new! I made this chainmaille circlet for the FAE team's "May Queens" exhibition.
This chainmaille circlet is made from bright aluminum and anodized aluminum rings in a silver color, green, blue, and yellow that I wove together in a sort of flower design. Dangling from this circlet are lots of beads: at the center is a glass leaf, on either side are two green glass beads with an etched silver colored knot design (looks very Celtic-y) and above and below these are two small darker green glass beads. Next to these are blue and green stone chips, and on the last four of the maille triangles are four green glass beads in the color of the rings.
The circlet is 21 1/2" (54.6 cm) long from the clasp to where the large rings end and the extra chain on the end begins. It closes with a lobster clasp and has a 2 1/2" (6.4 cm) silver colored metal chain at the end so it can be adjusted larger. It can also be adjusted smaller by clipping the clasp to one of the three larger rings at the end.
The mannequin's head is smaller than an adult human head, so it's really not as large as it looks here.
